2 Days Budget Camping Safari: Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater

2 Days Budget Camping Safari: Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater

Tour Summary

This Special Offer Tarangire & Ngorongoro Tour is an amazing tour with the best offer, which will take you to explore Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. We highly recommend this safari for those with limited time to visit all the parks in the Northern Circuit in Tanzania. It’s also suitable for those who have descended from Mount Kilimanjaro and want to experience the wildlife as well.

Day 1 : Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart to Tarangire National Park. Have a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire has a diverse landscape, with nine vegetation zones. Ancient baobab trees (the largest trees in Africa), dot the landscape dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River, which meanders through the park attracts an abundance of wildlife, from elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes to a variety of colourful birds. The park is very famous for having the greatest elephant population in Tanzania. During a safari, you will have the chance to quietly observe many families of elephants interacting. With a stop for a picnic lunch in an observatory inside the park, you will be able to view animals drinking water in the river (and many times lions attacking a thirsty zebra or wildebeest). Continue game viewing and finally return to the accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2 : Ngorongoro Crater

It is an amazing day for you to descend to the floor of the crater whose size is about 102 square miles/264sq km. The Ngorongoro Crater is an unfilled, intact and inactive volcano in the whole world. This impressive crater is over 600 meters (2000 feet) deep. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area has almost 20,000 larger mammals, other small wild animals as well as various species of birds. Also, the crater has a forest habitat which is home to buffalos, zebras and other herbivorous without forgetting nests for birds. You will spend a day in the crater accompanied by a picnic lunch. Later, your guide will drive you back to the airport for outbound flights or to your hotel in Arusha.
